Eligibility
Jen’s Place provides quality care for youth in a nurturing environment. We will accept and consider applications for youth, ages 13 and up, to females who are struggling with the following difficulties:
- emotional abuse
- physical abuse
- sexual abuse
- neglect
- mental health challenges
- behavioural challenges
We provide therapeutic services for:
- emotional challenges
- mental health challenges
- bi-polar
- personality disorder
- oppositional defiant disorder
- conduct disorder
- attachment disorder
- obsessive compulsive disorder
- sleep disorder
- attention deficit hyperactivity disorder- all types
- phobias
- anxiety disorder
- sexuality and sexual activity
- abandonment, grief and loss
- stealing
- eating disorders
- verbal abuse
- AWOL
- substance use/abuse
- aggression towards self/others/property1
- suicidal threats and attempts
- sexual abuse
- fetal alcohol effect/syndrome2
- tantrums
- youth involved with the criminal justice system
- fire setting/playing with fire3
- learning disorder- all types
- socially delayed
- school, academic and attendance issues
- bed wetting

We accept aggressive youth towards self, others and property,
excluding Serious Violent Offenders as Defined in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Individuals with Fetal Alcohol Effect/Syndrome will be considered in conjunction with other difficulties and identified treatment needs.

Fire Setting/Playing with Fire are considered with TAPP-C Assessment.
Please Note: Serious violent offenders and sexual offenders will not be considered for placement, as Jen’s Place is not structured to clinically serve them effectively.
